Sada Baby

Casada Aaron Sorrell, who performs as Sada Baby, is an American rapper and singer from Detroit, raised in the Regent Park neighbourhood on the city's east side. His music sits within the emerging Detroit rap scene of the mid-to-late 2010s, where he became a prominent figure. As a child he sang in a church choir, and his interest in music grew after his cousin Ashley started singing.

His breakthrough came in March 2018 with the video for "Bloxk Party", a collaboration with Detroit rapper Drego, which led to a signing with Asylum Records a few months later. The Bartier Bounty mixtape followed in January 2019, containing the 2018 singles "Cheat Code" and "Driple Double", and drew positive reviews. His debut studio album, Skuba Sada 2, arrived in March 2020 and entered the US Billboard 200 at number 125. In August 2020, "Whole Lotta Choppas" was released and sparked a viral dance challenge on TikTok, debuting at number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100. A remix with Nicki Minaj later peaked at number 35.
