About The Sadies

Toronto's The Sadies blend rock and roll with country and western, and their reach extends well past their own records through a long habit of collaboration. Formed in 1994 by Dallas Good and bassist Sean Dean as a two-piece, the band now comprises Travis Good, Sean Dean and Mike Belitsky. Dallas, a founding member, died in 2022 at 48; the brothers are nephews of Brian and Larry Good of The Good Brothers.

Precious Moments arrived in 1998, and Darker Circles, released on 18 May 2010 through Outside Music and Yep Roc Records, was shortlisted for the 2010 Polaris Music Prize. In 2012 the band shared a Juno Award for best video with Mike Roberts. Colder Streams, the last album Dallas completed, took the Juno for Adult Alternative Album of the Year in 2023. In 2024 they issued Rick White and the Sadies, their first record without Dallas, longlisted for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize, and Live at 6 O'Clock, from their 2014 tour with Gord Downie, appeared in February 2026.
