About Sarah Story

Sarah Story is a British DJ whose career runs from the decks to the national airwaves, and she is best known for presenting BBC Radio 1's Future Dance. Her broadcasting roots lie in Dalston, just outside Carlisle, though a slight Leeds accent still colours her speech. Those dual threads of dance music and regional radio define a presenter who has worked across commercial and public stations alike.

Her broadcasting career started when she was 14, with work experience at Greatest Hits Radio Cumbria & South West Scotland that led to co-hosting the station's Saturday morning breakfast show. She went on to present numerous Capital shows, among them the breakfast and drive-time slots, and co-hosted Capital Weekender with Ministry of Sound. In January 2021 she hosted Radio 1's Dance Party as part of the station's Christmas and New Year guest-presenter takeover. When Annie Mac's exit from the station was announced in April, Story was named as the new presenter of Future Dance on Friday evenings, replacing Danny Howard, who moved to Dance Party.
