About SB19

The name SB19 is a blend of two countries: the letters borrow from the South Korean company ShowBT, and the number comes from the gap between their dialling codes. Josh, Justin, Ken, Pablo and Stell mix pop, dance-pop, hip-hop, EDM and R&B, with lyrics that circle aspiration, resilience and vulnerability. Pablo, the leader, often co-writes and co-produces the group's own songs, which keeps much of the writing in-house.

Their path was far from smooth. Formed through a 2016 talent search by a subsidiary of ShowBT, the group saw its debut single, the ballad "Tilaluha", receive a lukewarm reception in 2018, and considered disbanding. The turn came with "Go Up", a 2019 dance-pop single that went viral on Twitter and brought a Sony Music Philippines deal. Their debut album, Get in the Zone, followed in 2020, and the EP Pagsibol brought hip-hop and EDM into their sound. Since leaving ShowBT in 2023 to found 1Z Entertainment, their EP Simula at Wakas (2025) saw every track enter the Philippines Hot 100, with lead single "Dam" topping World Digital Song Sales.
