About Seven Kingdoms

Taking its name from George R. R. Martin's fantasy saga, Seven Kingdoms is a heavy metal band from DeLand, Florida. Guitarist Camden Cruz and vocalist Lux Edwards started it in 2007 after leaving their earlier group, This Solemn Vow, and the lineup has shifted repeatedly since. Today the band pairs Cruz and Kevin Byrd on guitars with vocalist Sabrina Valentine, and touring drummer Colton Zeitler completes the roster.

Their independent debut, Brothers of the Night, was recorded at Morrisound Studios in Temple Terrace in August 2007 and released that November, its lyrics again steeped in Martin's novels. The following year brought Florida touring, a slot replacing Aghora at Hellstock in January 2008, and a set at The Maximum Metal Show in St Petersburg that May. After a change of direction, the band's second album, also titled Seven Kingdoms, arrived on Nightmare Records in July 2010 with a guest appearance from Wade Black of Crimson Glory. Later releases include The Fire is Mine in 2012 and the EP In the Walls in 2016, and a sixth album, Sono Sola, is slated for 29 January 2027 via crowdfunding.
