About Signe Svendsen

A single Eurovision evening in 2001 brought Danish singer Signe Svendsen to a wider audience, when she performed as one half of the duo Rollo & King with "Never Ever Let You Go", which finished as runner-up. Born in 1974, she had trained at Nyborg Gymnasium and Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium, graduating in 1998. That result remains the moment most people connect with her name, but it was the starting point for a career she went on to build in her own right.

Svendsen then turned to solo work, touring with Niels Hausgaard between 2007 and 2010. Her debut solo album, Ny passager, appeared in 2010, and she wrote or co-wrote eight of its ten tracks. A tour followed, and recordings from it were released on the 2011 album Live 2010. In June 2012 she issued the single "Din Sang", meaning "Your Song", and the album Kun de faldne rejser sig igen came out on 9 September 2013. The single reached the top three of Tracklisten, the official Danish Albums Chart. She has also appeared on Danish television, including Spørg Charlie and Signe og B.S. på afveje with B. S. Christiansen.
