About Sinne Eeg

Sinne Eeg is widely considered one of the finest female jazz vocalists working in Scandinavia today. Born in 1977, the Danish singer and composer writes much of her own material, mostly in English but also in Danish, and her reviews have travelled well beyond her home country.

A run of prizes followed. Between 2007 and 2015 she won the Danish Music Awards prize for Best Danish Vocal Jazz Album of the Year four times, for Waiting for Dawn, Don't Be So Blue, Face the Music and Eeg - Fonnesbæk, and in 2014 she also received the Ben Webster Prize. Her training came at the Academy of Music in Esbjerg, which she entered in 1997 and left with a degree in 2003, and she studied with the American singer Janet Lawson in New York City. Eeg has since toured Europe, Japan, China and the United States, and in January 2012 she sang in Brussels with the Danish Radio Big Band at the opening of Denmark's presidency of the Council of the European Union. She regularly performs at La Fontaine in Copenhagen.
