About Souldecision

Faded, an up-tempo pop single blending R&B with a rap verse from Thrust, carried soulDecision to the top of the Canadian singles chart in 2000. The Vancouver group began as Indecision, formed by singer and multi-instrumentalist Trevor Guthrie, singer David Bowman and keyboard player Ken Lewko while they studied music together at Capilano College. Launched during the height of the boy band boom, they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments.

Their debut album, No One Does It Better, was recorded at Velvet Sound Studios in Sydney, Australia, and released in Canada in February 2000. Its follow-up single, Ooh It's Kinda Crazy, reached the top 20 in Canada in 2001 and at one point was the number one request on MTV's Total Request Live. Billboard later named the video among the top ten Greatest Boy Band Videos of the TRL Era in 2018. The band supported Christina Aguilera on YTV's Psykoblast Tour, joined Destiny's Child as support acts on Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle Tour across North America, and backed NSYNC on the Eastern dates of their No Strings Attached Tour. Their second album, Shady Satin Drug, followed in 2004 on Sextant, which filed for bankruptcy after its release.
