About Spraynard

West Chester's Spraynard make punk that wears its suburban pop-punk roots openly. Their songs are melodic and anthemic, and listeners have set them beside Iron Chic and the Dude Ranch-era Blink-182. Consequence's Randall Colburn heard homespun grit in their muscular playing, sitting alongside a fierce streak of positivity. The band espouse progressive politics, and Colburn describes them as a working-class band, with friendship and community running through their lyrics.

The story began in 2008 with a split EP alongside Captain, We're Sinking on Creep Records. Two more splits followed in 2010, one with Paramedic! and one with Sundials, the same year their debut full-length, Cut and Paste, arrived on Runner Up Records. Funtitled, the second album, came out on Asian Man Records on 10 May 2011, and the Exton Square EP followed in April 2012 on Asian Man and Square of Opposition. A 2014 collection, The Mark Tom And Patrick Show, preceded 'Bench', which Jade Tree released in April 2015 as a preview of the album Mable. Mable premiered via Stereogum on 8 July and was released two days later.
