About Stand Atlantic

Stand Atlantic play pop punk with a contemporary alternative twist, and their influences run from Blink-182 and The Story So Far to Silverchair and The 1975. The Sydney band is fronted by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bonnie Fraser, with David Potter on lead guitar, Miki Rich on bass and Jonno Panichi on drums. Fraser's lyrics do not avoid harder material: "Molotov (OK)" grew from a school assembly she has said she never forgot.

Formed in 2012 as What It's Worth, the band became Stand Atlantic in early 2014, and their demo EPs Catalyst (2013) and A Place Apart (2015) brought them attention in Australia, with tours alongside As It Is and State Champs. A 2017 deal with Rude Records made them the first Australian band to sign there, and a move to Hopeless Records in September 2018 preceded debut album Skinny Dipping that October. Pink Elephant reached number 23 on the ARIA Albums Chart, F.E.A.R. followed in May 2022, and Was Here, released in August 2024, peaked at number 12 on the UK Rock & Metal Chart. A fifth album, Godbreath, has been announced for Virgin Music Group.
