About Stefan Andersson

Born in Haga, Gothenburg, on 8 August 1967, Stefan Andersson is a Swedish singer-songwriter whose name is most closely tied to a single record. His 1992 song "Catch the Moon" reached No. 4 on the Swedish charts and remains the hit he is known for. Gothenburg is where his story begins. Beyond that single, his career is most easily followed through a few clear milestones, each of which is set out below.

In 2007 he entered Melodifestivalen 2007 alongside Aleena Gibson, as the duo Andersson & Gibson, with the song "Anything But You". The track placed fifth in semi-final round one, but Swedish audiences did not choose it to advance to the final or the second chance round. That result is the other notable entry in his public record, and it shows how a fifth-place finish in a heat can still end a contest early.
