About Tank

Born in Taitung in 1982, Lü Jianzhong works as Tank, and his route into Taiwanese pop ran through the songwriting desk before the spotlight. His father is of Ami heritage and his mother is Puyuma, and he is a native Taiwanese. Before his debut album he had already written songs for Vic Chou and S.H.E, and by the age of 21 he was credited with more than 200 compositions. He was said to be the next big thing after David Tao and Jay Chou.

Fighting, released on 23 February 2006, was his debut album, and its follow-up, Keep fighting, arrived on 19 January 2007. Several songs found their way into television and games: "Romance of Three Kingdoms" closed Seven Swordsmen, "Give Me Your Love" ended KO One, and "Tears of a Thousand Years" closed The Little Fairy. NCsoft later asked him to write the theme for Guild Wars, which became "Intense Battle". In 2012 he sang a duet with Ella Chen of S.H.E on her EP Wǒ jiùshì. His latest album, The 3rd Round, came out on 31 May 2009, and he married MerMer in September 2012.
