About Them Coulee Boys
Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is where this bluegrass, folk rock and Americana band took shape, founded by Soren Staff, Beau Janke and Jens Staff. Their work moves freely between bluegrass, folk rock and Americana, treating those traditions as neighbours rather than borders. Neil Krause and Stas Hable later joined the founding trio. The genre tags on their name point to a band comfortable across several camps, which is a useful way into a catalogue that now runs to seven albums.
The first album, Them Coulee Boys, came out in 2013, followed by I Never Lied About Being In Love in 2014 and Dancing in the Dim Light in 2016. Die Happy appeared in 2019, then Namesake in 2021 and Ten Years Tall in 2023. Most recently, No Fun In The Chrysalis was released in 2025, adding a seventh album to a catalogue that now spans more than a decade. Taken together, the releases make a long, steady run, with no gap between albums longer than three years.
