About Tim Peters
Few writers in German Schlager have a track record quite like Tim Peters, who has worked as much behind the mixing desk as in front of the microphone. Born in Dortmund on 6 August 1990 into a family of working musicians, he was appearing on television as a child, and by his school years was producing backing tracks for local projects and school bands in his own home studio. After his Abitur he studied media management, then spent a year at a recording studio in New York's Chelsea district.
Back in Germany he wrote and produced for Helene Fischer, Matthias Reim, Roland Kaiser, Howard Carpendale, Florian Silbereisen, DJ Ötzi and Michelle. The Michelle and Matthias Reim collaboration Nicht verdient topped the Konservativ Pop Airplay charts. Since 2019 he has also performed as a solo artist, with singles such as Girl aus'm Pott and Krass verliebt, and his album Krass! appeared in 2024, followed by Schlager Rave in 2026. He has run his own club tours, Krass! in 2024 and Verboten Heiß in 2025, and since 2025 has joined the Semmel Concerts arena tour Schlagernacht des Jahres.
