About Tony Lucca
A former child performer on The All New Mickey Mouse Club, Tony Lucca turned to music after a short spell as a television actor. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, in 1976, he grew up in a large, musical family; his mother was one of twelve children of the Detroit jazz pianist James "Jimmy" Stevenson. Lucca began singing at three and started playing in Detroit-area bands with his cousin Cole Garlak at twelve. Now a singer, songwriter and producer, he also has acting and dancing credits.
His acting career included the teen drama Malibu Shores, which ran for one season, opposite Keri Russell, before he left acting in 1997 to focus on music. That year he self-released his debut, So Satisfied. Shotgun, released in 2004 through Lightyear and New Vibe Records and executive co-produced by JC Chasez, was his first commercially distributed album. In 2009 the EP TFDI, made with Jay Nash and Matt Duke, was recorded at SPACE in Evanston, Illinois. In 2012 he finished third on the second season of NBC's The Voice and was signed to Adam Levine's 222 Records. He toured on the Honda Civic Tour in 2013, opening for Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.
