TopGunn

Oliver Gammelgaard Nielsen, the Danish rapper and music producer who records as TopGunn, sits at the point where Copenhagen's dancehall culture meets hip hop. Born in Frederiksberg and identified with Nørrebro, the district he comes from, he took the dancehall scene as his starting point, and that rhythmic, street-level influence remains central to his work. He is also the founder of CHEFF Records, a label that gathers hip hop acts under one roof and gives his own output a broader context.

His first EP, Dansehallens Erobrer, appeared in 2010, with "Averbaver" and "Gunmænd med pistoler" as its best-known tracks. Through a residency in Ragnhildgade he worked with Klumben on "Kriminel", which quickly became a hit. TopGunn also joined Fuma Hi-Fi alongside Firehouse, producing them and contributing "Ingen Kokain" and "Xfactor", while his work with Nicholas Westwood, known as Kidd, led to Kidd's hit "Kysset med Jamel" and the "Kidd projektet" that followed, documented in the 2012 film "Kidd Life". His debut album, 21, arrived on CHEFF Records in May 2013, preceded by the singles "Hemligt nummer" and "Tilbud".
