About Wage War
Began life as Empires in Ocala, Florida, before briefly trying War Within, the quintet settled on Wage War. Formed in 2010, the American band works in metalcore, a style that balances crushing heaviness with melodic singing, and it has also been described as melodic metalcore. Briton Bond's unclean vocals sit alongside Cody Quistad's clean singing, giving their records a volatile contrast.
Their first EP, The Fall of Kings, was a self-released, independent effort in 2011. After signing to Fearless Records in 2015, they issued the album Blueprints that November, followed by Deadweight in August 2017 and Pressure in August 2019. Deadweight came with their first national headline tour, and they had already played the entirety of the Vans Warped Tour in 2016. The 2021 album Manic was followed by the acoustic The Stripped Sessions in December 2022, and Stigma arrived in June 2024. Their most recent releases are the EP It Calls Me by Name, out in April 2026, and the sixth album Landfall, scheduled for 9 October 2026.
