About Welshly Arms

Cleveland, Ohio, is where the American blues rock band Welshly Arms write, produce and record every track themselves. Their name comes from a fictional hotel in a Will Ferrell sketch on Saturday Night Live, but their influences run deeper: Jimi Hendrix, The Temptations, Otis Redding and Howlin' Wolf shaped them, and so did Cleveland's own The O'Jays, The James Gang and The Black Keys.

The band arrived with the EP Welcome in 2013, followed by a covers EP in 2014 and a self-titled album in 2015. Songs have also turned up in film trailers, including The D Train, starring Jack Black, and The Hateful Eight, directed by Quentin Tarantino. "Legendary" became the official theme for WWE's 2017 TLC pay-per-view and backed a Cleveland Indians national TV and radio campaign, a promo for Netflix's Sense8 and an ending in Den of Thieves. "Sanctuary" has been heard in Lucifer season 3, the 9-1-1 season 2 finale, episode 5 of Shades of Blue season 3, and the menu of Asphalt 9: Legends. Current members are Sam Getz, Jimmy Weaver, Mike Gould, Bri Bryant and Jon Bryant; Brett Lindemann has left, and Nate Saggio has played keyboard at recent concerts.
