About zouz

Read in order, the output of Zouz traces a tidy arc from short releases to full-length albums. The Montréal band, formed in 2016, is made up of Étienne Dupré, Francis Ledoux and David Marchand. Anyone arriving at the band now can trace the whole path from the very first EP onward.

EP1 appeared in 2017, and EP2 followed a year later in 2018, the two extended plays that make up the band's early output. The group's first album, Vertiges, arrived in 2021, and Jours de cendre, its most recent release, came out in 2024. Between them, the two albums mark the point where Zouz moved from EPs to longer statements, with a gap of three years between each. Taken together, the four releases make up a compact catalogue, with the two EPs as its opening chapter and the albums as its later one.
