Jamie Miller's Babydoll rises to UK number two, behind only Taylor Swift
The singer, originally from Pontprennau in Cardiff, saw the TikTok-driven single climb from three to two in the official UK charts, according to BBC Wales.

The original version of Jamie Miller's Babydoll moved from number three to number two in the official UK charts on Friday, with only Taylor Swift's Patient Zero ahead of it, according to BBC Wales. Miller is originally from Pontprennau in Cardiff.
The song, which BBC Wales describes as a TikTok viral hit, was also recorded with Off Campus actor Antonio Cipriano. The chart position BBC Wales reports applies to the original version of the track.
A collaboration that began online
BBC Wales reports that the link-up started when Miller saw a comment from Cipriano on social media and sent him a message proposing that the actor feature on a recording. Cipriano has since said he hopes the song can reach number one in the UK.
Voice UK and a change of tone
Miller is now 29. BBC Wales notes that at 19 he took part in The Voice UK and finished third, with Jennifer Hudson as his coach. He says his interest in music began by accident, when he joined a primary school show.
He also told BBC Wales that he had built his career on sad music but no longer feels that way, saying he is happy now. He said no social media campaign had been planned for Babydoll and that its success happened in an organic way.
The reporting comes from BBC Wales, which first published its interview with Miller and Cipriano on 16 October 2026 and updated it the following day.
This report draws on reporting by BBC Entertainment.
