Allianz Arena

About Allianz Arena

Set on the northern fringe of Munich, on Fröttmaning Heath, this football stadium is easy to spot from its shell of inflated plastic panels. Those ETFE panels allow the whole exterior to shift colour, a first for any stadium anywhere. With room for 75,000 at domestic fixtures and 70,000 for internationals, it ranks as Germany's second-largest ground, behind Dortmund's Westfalenstadion.
