About Aviva Studios - The Hall
Set on Quay Street in Manchester, The Hall at Aviva Studios was once the headquarters of Granada Television from 1956 until 2013, and its studios remain part of British broadcasting history. Among the oldest operating purpose-built television studios in the UK, the building opened four years before BBC Television Centre. After a period closed, five of its six studio spaces reopened in 2018, and the site now hosts events as well as broadcasts.
The programme leans towards rock, electronic and dance, and pop, with nine shows listed and two of them in the next 30 days. Coming up are Courtney Barnett, Freya Skye, Bloc Party, Interpol, Bonobo, Nathan Carter, Stop Making Sense Live and Snarky Puppy, with shows usually starting around 19:00.
