About Barrowland Ballroom
The Barrowland Ballroom sits in the Calton district of Glasgow and works as three things at once: an entertainment venue, a dance hall and a music venue. Visitors can expect dancing and live music under the same roof, which gives the building a flexible character that suits both a night out on the floor and a gig. For anyone planning a visit to the city, it is a Scottish address worth knowing.
The programme leans towards rock, indie and alternative, with pop also on the bill. Sixty-four upcoming shows are listed, nine of them in the next thirty days. Early dates include Cabaret Voltaire, Lucia & the Best Boys, Levellers and Lake Street Dive, with Overmono, Jalen Ngonda, Cat Power and Skindred also coming up. Shows usually start around 19:00, and the venue has hosted one festival date.
