About Blackpool Opera House
The Blackpool Opera House sits inside the Winter Gardens, a large entertainment complex in the town centre. The complex first opened in 1889 and was rebuilt in 1910 and again in 1939, so the building you walk into reflects several different eras. It is in Lancashire's Blackpool, and makes a natural first stop for anyone heading into town for a night out.
The programme leans towards rock, pop, and indie and alternative music. Upcoming headliners include Alison Moyet, Del Amitri, Squeeze, The Mersey Beatles and Bob Dylan, with Wet Wet Wet and Whitney Queen of the Night also on the list. There are 13 upcoming shows, three of them in the next 30 days, along with two free shows and two festival dates.
