About Boiler Shop
The Boiler Shop is a live music room in Newcastle upon Tyne, set within the old offices and workshops of the Robert Stephenson and Company locomotive works. The building is Grade II* listed and dates from 1823. Its current custodians, brothers David and Richard Clouston, completed a restoration in 2016, and the venue opened in its present form the following year.
The venue mainly books rock, pop, and indie and alternative music, with 13 shows currently listed, six of them in the next 30 days. Upcoming headliners include Cabaret Voltaire, The Wedding Present, Day Fever, The Skids, Ferocious Dog, The Orb, Swiftogeddon and Getdown Services. Shows usually start around 19:00.
