About Electric Brixton
Electric Brixton occupies a building that once housed The Fridge, a Brixton nightclub founded in 1981 by Andrew Czezowski and Susan Carrington, who had previously run the Roxy at the height of punk. The Fridge closed in March 2010. The venue opened in September 2011 and has no link to that earlier club.
The programme leans towards rock, pop, and indie and alternative music. Coming up are Lime Garden, The Devil Wears Prada, Gurriers, Son Lux, Marina Sena, I Love Reggaeton, Despised Icon and Sons of Legion, with 61 shows scheduled and 22 of them in the next 30 days. Tickets start from £32.50, and the most common age policy is 18+. The venue has hosted two festival dates.
