About Gateshead Stadium
Gateshead International Stadium is an all-seater venue in Gateshead, within Tyne and Wear, built for more than one kind of event. It was built in 1955 as the Gateshead Youth Stadium and has been overhauled three times since. Holding around 11,800 people, it is the largest venue in its metropolitan borough and the sixth biggest in the North East.
