About Ipswich Regent Theatre
The Ipswich Regent Theatre stands on St Helen's Street in Ipswich, Suffolk, and is a theatre and concert venue that has also been known as the Gaumont Theatre. It is a Grade II listed building, designated in 2000, and is East Anglia's largest theatre. Its auditorium was refurbished in 2007, when capacity was reduced by 150 to make room for larger, more comfortable seating, leaving it with space for 1,551 people.
The programme leans towards rock and pop, with headliners including Whitney Queen of the Night, The Proclaimers, The Shires, Tony Hadley, Alison Moyet, Emeli Sande, Wet Wet Wet and Rick Wakeman. Shows usually start around 18:30. There are 14 upcoming shows in total, four of them in the next 30 days.
