About Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden, known to most simply as the Garden, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan, with Pennsylvania Station beneath it. It is the fourth building to carry the name, following earlier halls in Madison Square from 1879 and 1890 and a third home uptown from 1925. Sitting between Seventh and Eighth avenues, it stands at the heart of one of the city's busiest districts.
