About O2 Institute2 Birmingham
The O2 Institute2 Birmingham occupies a building in Digbeth that opened in 1908 as a mission run by Carrs Lane Congregational Church. Its later uses included an event centre, a civic building and a nightclub, before it became the music venue it is today. That mix of uses gives the room a character shaped by many different purposes rather than one.
