About Paramount Theatre Oakland
The Paramount Theatre sits on Broadway in Downtown Oakland. Built in 1931, it was once the largest multi-purpose theatre on the West Coast, and its Art Deco auditorium still seats around 3,040. It is the home base of the Oakland Symphony and Oakland Ballet.
The programme spans R&B, jazz, blues, rock, gospel and stand-up comedy, as well as classic Golden Era films.
