About Petco Park

Petco Park is a baseball ground in the East Village district of downtown San Diego, sitting alongside the Gaslamp Quarter. It has been the home of the San Diego Padres since 2004, when it replaced San Diego Stadium, the team's base from its founding in 1969 until 2003. As the setting for Major League Baseball at the top level, it anchors the city's central sporting life.
