About Roadmender
Roadmender occupies a former school building on Lady's Lane in Northampton, and it has long been the town's main stage for live music. As the only major live venue in the town, it has shaped the gig-going habits of several generations of local music fans. It is also the best-known indie club still running regularly, having outlasted Bass Clef, which closed in 1999, and the Irish Centre, which shut in 1997.
The room mostly books rock and pop, with ten upcoming shows listed and four of them falling in the next thirty days. Early names include The Exploited, London Calling, Secret Affair and Reverend & the Makers, alongside The Smyths, a Smiths tribute, and The Specials Ltd, Orbital and The Ruts DC. Shows usually start around 19:00.
