About Royal Victoria Country Park Southampton

Royal Victoria Country Park sits in Netley on the shores of Southampton Water, a green space of around 200 acres of mature woodland and grassy parkland with a small shingle beach. Hampshire County Council created the park in 1970 after the Royal Victoria Military Hospital that once stood on the site was demolished, so the open ground you see today replaces a hospital.
