About Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral is a leading example of Early English Gothic architecture, raised in just 38 years between 1220 and 1258. That speed gives the building a rare sense of unity for a medieval English cathedral. Its spire, standing 404 feet tall, is the highest in England, and the tower and spire were finished by 1330.
