About Station East

Gateshead station ran from 1844 to 1981, with two portions on different routes that were at times called Gateshead East and Gateshead West. Both sat on the northern and western sides of the triangular junction south of the High Level Bridge, linking Gateshead with Newcastle upon Tyne.
