About The Anvil
The Anvil is a music and performance venue in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and its building stands out on the skyline. Seen from the western approach in particular, its unusual silhouette suggests the horn end of a traditional blacksmith's anvil, which is where the name comes from. Some have also likened its profile to the bow of a ship.
The programme leans towards pop and rock, with eleven upcoming shows listed and one falling in the next 30 days. The soonest headliner is Justin Hayward, followed by Whitney Queen of the Night, Michael Starring Ben, Classic Rock Show, 10cc, Bjorn Again, The Amy Winehouse Band and Tony Blackburn. Shows usually start around 19:30.
