About Troxy
The Troxy stands on Commercial Road in Stepney, an Art Deco room that opened as a cinema in 1933. Its later uses included a spell as an opera training school and a stint as a bingo hall, before it was converted into a live events space in 2006. With a capacity of 3,100, it is considered a vital part of East London's history, and an extension to reach 3,600 is planned for 2026.
The programme leans towards rock, pop, and electronic and dance music. Upcoming headliners include Sweetnotes, Angine de Poitrine, Yll Limani, Ele Yan, Dabeull, Bryan Kearney and Morcheeba, with 26 shows listed, nine of them in the next 30 days. Shows usually start around 19:00, and tickets are listed from £35.
