Wembley Stadium opened in 2007 on the site of the original ground, which stood from 1923 to 2000. It is the country's principal football venue, hosting most England home internationals and the FA Cup Final, and the Football Association, which owns the building, has its headquarters inside. With 90,000 seats, it is the largest stadium in the UK.
