Billy Gillies

Trance has always leaned heavily on the DJ booth, and Billy Gillies is one of the British names working that circuit from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Born in 1989 or 1990, he works as both a disc jockey and a producer, shaping tracks in the studio and then testing them in front of crowds. That dual role is central to how he is known, and it explains why his name travels as far as the live circuit takes it.

His best-known chart moment is "DNA (Loving You)", a 2023 single made with Hannah Boleyn that reached number nine on the UK Singles Chart in January 2024. Earlier, his 2022 single "Lagoon" has been described as a big fan favourite. Several of his singles have come out on the Afterdark label, and in 2023 he signed to Atlantic Records. Live performance and international touring remain part of his career.
