About CloZee

Chloé Herry, the Paris-born musician who performs as CloZee, builds her music from an unusual starting point: five years of classical guitar lessons in Toulouse, where her family moved when she was 11. Drawn first to the playing of John Williams and Vicente Amigo, she later learned FL Studio during an audio-engineering course and began producing. Her tracks blend UK bass, glitch, dubstep, trap and world music, and though most have no lyrics, she often treats processed human voices as instruments.

Her first official EP, Dubious, appeared in 2012, followed in 2013 by Poetic Assassin on Gravitas Recordings. A 2014 US tour found warmer crowds than in France, where audiences had favoured trance and techno, especially in Oakland, Chicago and Denver. The track "Koto", written in two days and released on Otodayo Records in 2015, was picked up by a prominent electronic YouTube channel and gathered millions of plays. Her debut album, Evasion, reached number 11 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart in 2018. Neon Jungle followed in 2020, then Microworlds in July 2023, and its 45-stop tour closed at Denver's Mission Ballroom on 30-31 December 2023.
