Drop Dead Gorgeous

Drop Dead, Gorgeous came out of Denver, Colorado, playing a post-hardcore sound that AllMusic also filed under metalcore and heavy metal. Frontman Danny Stillman led a six-piece line-up that included guitarists Kyle Browning and Dan Gustavson, and keyboardist Jonathan Leary. Kerrang! remembered them as a 'Myspace band' from that platform's golden age. Their stated influences ran from Underoath and From First to Last to Taking Back Sunday and Green Day.

Their busiest stretch came in 2007, with a Rise Records tour alongside The Devil Wears Prada, shows in Mexico and a place on the Vans Warped Tour. Their 2009 album The Hot N' Heavy reached No. 6 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart and No. 192 on the Billboard 200. Stillman confirmed a hiatus in August 2011, as members took up projects such as ManCub and Curses. Stillman and drummer Danny Cooper later worked together in the project Bleach Blonde, releasing a three-track EP in 2013. A hometown reunion show was announced for December 28, 2024.
