Scumie says she has no manager, directs business enquiries to official email
The Midrand-born rapper, singer and producer used Instagram to say nobody outside her official team is authorised to speak on her business.
Scumie has said publicly that she does not have a manager and that all business enquiries should go to a single official email address. The Midrand-born rapper, singer and producer made the statement in a notice on Instagram.
“Please direct all business-related enquiries to scumiexo@gmail.com . I don’t have a manager. Nobody outside my official team is authorised to speak on my business. Thank you,”
The wording is direct. Scumie names one point of contact for promoters, collaborators and other industry professionals, and says that anyone outside her official team has no authority to speak on her business. The notice also addresses speculation about who handles her professional affairs.
Where Scumie sits in South African hip-hop
Scumie works in South Africa's alternative hip-hop scene, with a sound that blends experimental rap, melodic elements and neo-soul influences. Her catalogue includes the 066 series and the double album AVANT: TIRAMISU, released in August 2026 ahead of her 21st birthday.
She raps, sings and produces. The statement is a short administrative clarification rather than an announcement of new music or a business change, and it sets out how she wants approaches to her to be handled.
SA Hip Hop Mag carried the story on 29 October 2026.
